A significant grantmaking strategy for The Foundation is supporting the expansion efforts of high-performing CMOs and parochial schools as well as supporting the creation of new schools. We look for measurable, positive results, strong management organizations, and a growth plan based on significant prior experience. The Foundation also supports the creation of new, stand-alone charter schools or parochial schools in communities with a demonstrated need for higher quality public education and improved student outcomes. The school leaders we support have a strong vision of their goals, their academic model, the expectations they have of student behavior, and the school culture they will strive to create.
The Foundation believes that every child deserves access to a content-rich liberal arts education and that curriculum development is an essential aspect of education reform.
